New Delhi, India – On the occasion of the 31st World Disability Day, the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC), under the auspices of Ms Farhana Bhat, Representative for Special Interest Groups, organised a Seminar and Cultural Programme at the iconic India Gate, New Delhi, under the theme: Amplifying the Leadership of Youth with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.

The meeting provided a platform for discussing Joshua Opey’s ambitious 5-star plan for the over 1.5 Billion young people across the Commonwealth. Key areas of focus included education, skills, inclusive leadership and the role of young people in addressing global challenges such as climate change and digital transformation.

Accra, Ghana – A delegation of Commonwealth Youth Council executives and national youth delegates led by Chairperson Joshua Opey participating in the 2nd Consultative Dialogue for African Youth, paid a courtesy call on the incoming Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, in Accra, Ghana.
