The Chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC), Joshua Opey, was in Rabat, Morocco, on a working visit to the Secretariat of the Pan African Youth Union (PYU), the youth coordinating mechanism of the African Regional Bloc.

During the visit, the Chairperson met with the Secretary General of PYU, Ahmed Bening, alongside members of the Secretariat staff, where discussions centered on strengthening collaboration between PYU and CYC and advancing youth development across Africa and the Commonwealth.

The engagement reaffirmed the CYC’s commitment to working with youth coordinating mechanisms at all levels across the five regions of the Commonwealth, in pursuit of the collective interests and advancement of young people.
