The CYC Chairperson joined other stakeholders at the 80th session of the United Nations general assembly to contribute to a conversation on UN reforms at a session on “UN80 – Youth Voices for a Stronger UN Development System” organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sierra Leone, the United Nations Youth Office and the UN 2.0 initiative of the UN Secretary-General.

He used the opportunity to discuss the need to set up formalized youth structures at the National and Regional Levels and made a bold call for a UN-backed Global Youth Council that will convene all National Youth Councils at the National and Regional Levels.
